A few months ago I was on a call with a friend in the UK. She knows me pretty well and was analyzing my Human Design. (If you haven’t heard of this, Google it! Super interesting….)
She had a hunch I was a Mani-Gen. (Manifest Generator)
Within 20 minutes of chatting to her, We had jointly decided that I needed to start a blog.
I needed a creative outlet. The crafting just wasn’t working out for me. I LOVE making things but I don’t like selling… how many wreaths can one possibly have under one roof?
I also know I always feel the need to help people. To teach. To motivate.
So this was the solution… Start a blog!
As soon as I got my head around the idea of starting, I was hooked. I knew exactly what I wanted to share with you.
I have seen the progress I have made in my home and in myself over the past 2 years and how implementing some small changes has made life a little bit easier and lighter.
I NEEDED to share that with all the other overwhelmed, busy people out there!
So here are my top 3 goals for this blog:
1- Create a community
Now, more than ever, we need to find our people. We need to know we are not alone in our struggles and we need that loud cheering section to jump for joy at our successes. A community is more than where we live. It’s a lifestyle, it’s common goals and it’s a safe space to go when you just need to be heard and understood.
I will be sharing my journey to a life with more ease and joy. I will be sharing the things that are working and the ones that are not! I will shar my struggles and my successes and I hope to give you a safe space to come along on this journey with me.
I will use my other social media platforms to chat with you and learn what else I can offer to support you on this wild ride!
2- Share tips and tricks to living a life with more ease and joy
Tips and tricks are what I was searching for! I needed a short list of things to do. Some stuff worked. Some did not.
Even though we are all aiming for the same outcome, the journey might be different. Some of the things I share, might not suit you and some might be that ah ha moment you have been searching for.
Depending where you are in your mindset, your season of life and your willingness to make changes will depend on what tips and tricks speak to you at that very moment.
Living a life with more ease is not just about organizing things into rainbows on your shelves (If you know, you know…. although, that is pretty awesome!)
Its not about buying MORE bins to store stuff in. Its not even about minimalizing all your worldly possessions.
- Its about creating a life that works for you and your family.
- Its about getting things set up so that your home works for you and not the other way around.
- Its about being intentional with what you bring into your life and your home and how it serves you and your family.
This might look different for all of us and that’s OK!
Of course, I will have some easy to follow tips about organization, decluttering, planning and mindset. You can take what speaks to you and test it out! I will always be here to give you that kick in the butt you need!
3- Motivate, Support and Inspire
Speaking of being kicked in the butt….
Lets talk motivation and support!
My 3rd and final goal for this blog is to get you to take action. Whether its declutter a room in your home or simply making a list of things you WANT to achieve, I want to motivate you to start.
Since starting this new adventure of mine, one of the key phrases that has stuck in my head is ‘done is better than perfect‘.
If you are anything like me, you hesitate to take action on things because all the starts have not yet aligned. I have used every excuse in the book; I’m too busy, I don’t have the right equipment, I need to learn more, the wind is blowing in the wrong direction….
Done is better than perfect, got me out of this cycle of over analyzing EVERY. SINGLE. DETAIL.
Are you able to grab that almost empty tube of toothpaste tucked away in that bathroom drawer and throw it out? THERE! DONE! See how easy that was???
Getting started and having a plan in place is the hardest part. I’m here to help you with that!
Not sure if you want to throw away the 72 stick men drawings that your child has so lovingly made for you? Ill help you with that as well!
You will hit roadblocks on this journey.
There will be obstacles in your way.
You will spill your coffee….
But you WILL get there.
And I will be there cheering you on!
I know I have said this a few times in the past, but I am not an expert in this field. I am just a busy working mom, trying to create more ease in life and have more time to do the things that bring me joy! Might as well save YOU the hassle of learning all these things and just give them to you!
You can thank me later!
